Dear John

Brick Wall - Advancing Research on Henry William Stageman (1824?-1859) "Henry Jr."

We have managed to make enough progress on your brick wall case so that we can provide you with a quote and a research plan. We recommend the Brick Wall service for this which includes 8 key records.

In the absence of confirmed records about Henry Jr's father, it is necessary to locate his mother in the hope that we can be directed towards her origins and those of Henry Sr. We know she was alive as at 1838 and evidence indicates some years after this. It may be that we have found her but confirmatory records are required.

We will also try to locate Henry William Stageman (1824?-1859) or a likely alias in 1841 and 1851 census records. In addition, several more records are required to provide us with further information about Henry Jr.

We will consider:-

  1. Conflicting evidence concerning Henry Sr.
  2. Was he definitely dead by the time of the 1838 apprenticeship indenture?
  3. If so, why was he not shown as deceased on the 1852 Henry Jr marriage record?
  4. Where is his burial?
  5. Might Henry Sr have been transported? If so, to all intents and purposes, he would have been 'dead' to those left behind.
  6. Can we rely on Henry Jr's word?
  7. Why did Rosannah have what appears to be a religious/ moral crisis after her Henry Jr. died?
  8. The indenture.
  9. Foreign prospects.
  10. Emigration prospects.
  11. Why so few Stageman and derivative records anywhere.

If you want to proceed, please click the accept quote button at the top of the screen at which stage an invoice will appear with a Paypal button for you  to make an initial payment. As you contacted us whilst our 10% offer was available, we will honour this.

In this type of case we cannot give a guarantee that the above objectives will be achieved but are certain that the research will be advanced.

Please ensure that no information or documentation has been held back to avoid cost and duplication of effort.

I hope this is helpful but please contact me if you have any queries.

Kind regards

Amy
