Further to your email and looking at your priorities, I think it might be better to use the additional time of 7 hours suggested on Irish research to cover the following:-
  • Map out the Roney families in Ireland as much as possible. - obtain more information on Patrick Peter where available.
  • Try to establish James’ relationship to Peter/Patrick from the Chancery Bill.
  • Search for the prior generation(s).
  • Check family in Griffiths Valuations for those left behind and/or to exclude or confirm Patrick Peter Roney's relationship.
  • See if Cusack Roney is related and seek more information for him.
  • Check to see if there was any significant reason why Peter of Ulverston had preferential treatment there.
  • Did John Kain Rooney born in 1847 have any connections to your Roney lineage by being descended from the same Roney and Kane/Kain line?
  • Look further into the Ireland Court of Chancery Bill Books and other records.
