Telling the Whole Story

I hope you are well and enjoyed the festivities.

We have successfully completed your tree as far as it goes and have been able to identify individuals from your mother's helpful summary.

Before we start to put everything together to tell the stories we would like to make a suggestion.

You have six certificates included in the Silver Tree plans.  We have been able to trace your relatives by means of censuses, the six certificates and birth, marriage and death indexes. Unfortunately, without us having to buy more certificates, that is all the information there is: a name, index number and date of birth, marriage or death. The purchased certifcates show much more: dates, addresses, church locations, cause of death etc. With that information we are able to provide photos of locations and churches, news articles etc. There is an opportunity now to tell the story of each of these events by researching further and obtaining certificates of most of these events for your direct ancestors and those relatives recalled by your mother. These are intended to add colour by telling the story of each event whilst also ensuring the integrity of your family tree heirloom as much as possible. There are 47 possible records but this is a quotation for only 30 (plus the 6 mentioned) as it can get very expensive!

We would have to purchase these records but the key is to locate them whilst we are on the case. The records would be incorporated into the final chronological presentation report and trees. For more information check here.

The Silver Trees are designed to provide information about two direct lines (Delaney and Crowder) but, as well as birth, marriage and death for most of the direct ancestors, we would seek to provide the following:-

Delaney Line

• Grandfather William's Two Brothers
  Telling the story from death certificates of William's teenage brother who died in a swimming accident and the other brother who died aged 36.
• Joseph Leavy Killed at 18
  Grandmother Doris's younger brother killed at 18.
• French Ancestors?
  The Reavetts were reputed to be French. If so, were the recent generations from England or France?
• Zoe and the Cat Lover
  Who was Zoe who would bring the cat to William Reavett? Did she marry and when did she die?
• Irish Father
  Obtain marriage certificate to identify Irish father of a x3 great grandfather.

Crowder Line

• Polly's Lost Soldier
  Another man killed in service was the fiancé of Polly Bolland in WW1. It might be possible to find further details of Polly and the young man.
• Grandmother Irene Mangin of Ancoats and great grandfather - Joseph Mangin (French or Irish father?) born 1895 Manchester died 1979 in Knutsford, Cheshire, buried in churchyard there. Did he earn any war medals?
• The McDermott Brothers
  Can we discover more about the "Fighting McDermotts" Wilfred, Herbert and Albert, brothers of great grandmother Annie?
• Granny Mac
  Who was Annie orphaned at 8 years of age?

It will take at least 9 hours extra to incorporate these records and additional certificates as well as researching locations, maps and news articles but I have obtained an 85% discount on this to reflect your valued custom.

An illustrative draft chart shows the records available for this case in addition to the enquiries outlined above. (This is nothing like what you will eventually get).
