Drummonds to McGregors

Further to our correspondence, here are the items for further research incorporated in our Pedigree Tree to get your McGregors back further and to include ancestors up to and including your grandfather.

In order to take the tree back further and confirm Donald and Catherine we would want to:-

·         Follow children of Donald and Catherine and their grandchildren to see if these names were continued in other Drummond descendant families and check if they settled in the Crieff region.

·         Research the church of Callander for other McGregors and Drummonds.

·         Research the church of Kenmore for other McGrigars, McGregors and Drummonds.

·         Trace Donald and Catherine McGrigar who married at Kenmore.

·         Check the Logierait baptism of Donald McGregore son of John McGregore and  Janet Scot on 24 June 1679 and other prospects.

·         Check prospects for interaction with the leaders of the Gregor Clan. For example, Alexander MacGregor Drummond 4th of Balhaldie and his cousins. Taking these forward might find a link to your McGregor Drummonds and, if so, the line can potentially be taken back many generations.

·         Check other prospects for Donald McGregor born in the late 17th century and take back further if possible.

·         Check William Morrison and his family for their residence around Callendar and the names of his father and siblings.

·         Check archives for the various McGregor Drummond locations.

Our charge for going back to the early 1600s is normally £1,195 for our Pedigree Tree. We have credited you half of the £425 you have paid = a reduction of £212.50 leaving £982.50 less a 10% discount payable for early acceptance. If paying by instalments, this would be 3 payments of £294.75 each, an option which shows on the invoice if the quote is accepted.
