Barlegs Back in Time

Further to our conversation, I am pleased to advise that we have a research plan and proposal for you along the lines of our discussion.

We can take your Barlegs ancestors back to the late 18th century with proof by certification of each key birth, marriage and a few death records. These will show the evolution of the name through this period and we will be able to suggest further research by us or yourselves to take your ancestors back further.

Parish records only began in the middle of the 16th century so there is no chance of proving a paper link back to Magnus III Barelegs but there may be a way of latching on to a relevant person from his tree. Again, this is a matter for optional further research.

In the meantime, I have itemised the quote. You stated a preference for a family tree and Heirloom vital certification pack. As well as these records we will provide censuses and schedules so the name can be tracked through the 1800s. You do not want a report with all 'bells and whistles' which would have included maps, photographs and descriptions of relevant places and a chronological history so we will only provide those items listed below.
