Telling the Whole Jones Story

I hope you are well.

We have successfully completed your tree as far as it goes (back to circa 1690) and have been able to identify individuals from your very helpful outline.

Before we start to put everything together to tell the stories (after receiving the existing orders) we would like to make a suggestion.

You have five certificates included in the Platinum Tree plan.  We have been able to trace your relatives by means of censuses, the certificates and birth, marriage and death indexes. Unfortunately, without us having to buy more certificates, that is all the information there is: a name, index number and date of birth, marriage or death. The purchased certificates show much more: dates, addresses, church locations, cause of death etc. With that information we are able to provide photos of locations and churches, and news articles etc. There is an opportunity now to tell the story of each of these events by researching further and obtaining certificates of most of these events for your direct ancestors and those relatives recalled by you. These are intended to add colour by telling the story of each event whilst also ensuring the integrity of your family tree heirloom as much as possible.

We indicated on the original quote that we may require as many as an extra 10 certificates and 10  parish/ probate records but we have since included 15 parish records in our research plus 16 that were used to eliminate other possible candidates. These would normally cost £21 each but we have included these free of charge to save a considerable sum. We have also obtained 5 civil certificates which were included in the Platinum plan.

There are another 14 optional certificates which we would like to suggest to you to confirm the integrity of the tree and provide far more information than simple indexes that are otherwise used.

We have to purchase these records if you want them but the key is to locate them whilst we are on the case. The records would be incorporated into the final chronological presentation report and trees. For more information check here.

It would take at least 4 hours extra to incorporate these records and additional certificates as well as researching locations, maps and news articles but I have obtained 50% discount on this to reflect your valued custom as well as a further reduction for the certificates of 10%.

An illustrative draft chart shows the records available for this case in addition to the enquiries outlined above. (This is nothing like what you will eventually get).

Thank you for your valued custom and for instructing us to deal with your family history. It is absolutely no problem if you don't want to add these records so just let us know if this is the case. It is also extra work that we have to do to incorporate them but we consider that this is always worthwhile for such a priceless endeavour.

Otherwise, please accept this invoice if you require the items. You can pay in full or by two instalments: one of £199.90 now and the same when the records are received back in a few weeks.
