The name Davies is the fifth most used in Britain. Davis is the 52nd. Combined, they are 2nd or 3rd. As we go back in time, the names are interchangeable depending on the person writing down the name and the literacy of the Davis/Davies in question. This therefore means that it is a much more difficult name to trace than most and requires specialist ability to research it, almost inevitably back to Wales which produces other difficulties to surmount.

We are prepared to take this on and have already found your grandfather and his likely father, plus their occupations and ages. We would very much like the challenge to take them back further but we are going to need additional assistance in the form of birth and marriage records to narrow down candidates as we go back.

The Lineage 1 Tree comes with 9 such records but we will need another ten and have included those below for the price of 9. We have also done 2.5 hours of research for which there is obviously no charge.
