Your historic sleuthing is over the top! I am in awe of your diligent research and the treasure trove you brought my family.

Your document is a “tour de force.” From some not being able to sign their own name to the “Vicker of Blackburne” etc, is quite a disparate family journey. Quite amazing how you found many tantalizing pieces in the research you did. Many thanks also for the many illustrations you added which gave much life and vibrancy to the hundreds of pages of treasures that you produced. I’m probably on my third run through. I’m reading it like a menu where the good dishes immediately stand out and then you go back again to study the details.

I’m appreciative of your findings about my gambling relative who broke the bank at Monte Carlo and lost it all the night after.  Your tracking down of the newspaper accounts of his suicide in Monte Carlo turned family lore into an authenticated event.

I am going on holiday in Provence later this year and due to your research I now intend to visit Monte Carlo to try to locate his burial place.
